It's been said on the third floor many times: "Who is this guy?" Usually it's preceeded by a few choice expletives. That's exactly why I'm "Hot East" and not [whatever my name is]. I like the sinkhole out front fixed and my garbage picked up. I'm funny that way.
"Who are you, anyway?" That's a complicated answer. You see, I come from the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun where the hot springs blow. I knew that would make things perfectly clear.
"What does Hot East mean?" It's an inside joke. An old friend couldn't read or write very well and had to fill out some paperwork. Somebody usually helped him, but was out. Another guy was going through the paperwork and saw two words: "Hot East." Hmmph! As he would say, "I went to school stupid and came out the same way." Maybe so, but he made up for it with all of the stuff school didn't teach. Like how to work hard and have some courage (there's a better word for it that starts with a B and ends with an S).
Who am I not? With nearly 100% certainty, I am NOT the mayor. I am NOT a councilman. I am not the President or any of those D.C. clowns. I don't work for CP.
Likes: free soda with orders over $10. Napkins when eating BBQ. Lawrence Welk. Metallica. Morningwood (the band). The Uncle Floyd Show. Sitting behind the wheel of a pontoon boat pretending I'm commanding the PT-109.
Dislikes: white plate jitney busses parked in front of my house. Elvis country. When the neighbor's cat knocks over the garbage cans. Country music.
Favorite international food: Greek diner cuisine. Nothing compares!
Favorite drink: $0.35 coffee in a "It is our pleasure to serve you" cup. Yes it is, my friend, and it is my pleasure to embibe in java with some viscosity to it.
Favorite American food: Cuchifritos, cavatelli.
