[Announcements] Good News of Serving Cliffside Park's Seniors

The second annual Seniors' Dessert Hour hosted by the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church's Ladies'
Aid was held on Thursday, May 11th, from 2:00PM to
4:00PM. Several Ladies' Aid members worked along with the staff of the senior building & Cliffside Park Housing Authority to organize the necessary arrangements for this seniors' social to be held at the senior building's community and recreation room& publicity to notify seniors& enable as many as possible to attend. Trinity ladies also spent hours and effort in buying& preparing the treats for the seniors&worked together with the staff of the building to set everything up for serving the refreshments. Ice cream, cake, strawberries and coffee were served. 45 seniors attended the event
and some staff came to lend their support to this social hour at which senior residents&staff could enjoy a special time with special treats together in conversation with fellow residents and church& staff members. The Trinity church family hopes that this service &outreach to the seniors of the Cliffside Park community helped to meet some of the needs of Cliffside Park's senior residents in particular and other staff workers; that it will build bridges of good and caring relationships within the senior and Cliffside Park community and between them and the church; and that further ways of community service and doors of ministry to seniors will be opened up.
