So, tell me please, how someone who makes $65,000 a year able to afford a $450,000 home? I'm not even going to touch the $35,000 mark that some start out with. I'm befuddled with that concept. Without having a practical illustration proving otherwise, I think that most "regular people" (in context - someone who is not an executive, does not have a professional degree or is not a principal of a company; someone who is not fortunate to be making the "big bucks") who are homeowners here can only do so because they have inherited their homes.
Would someone go to their friends and relatives and draft up a business plan to solicit shares for startup capital? Run your home like a business? Mmmm, not a bad idea, really... incorporate and solicit shareholders, then possibly subsidize your end. Poorly mannered tenants would be dealt with by the corporation and not by an individual landlord.
