[Gen. Discussion] Focus on the much maligned Fairview

Okay, so these days, comparing Cliffside Park to Fairview is pretty much done as a pejorative. But back in the day, not that long ago, Fairview was a vital, happening place where you could get all of life's conveniences and necessities without having to take a #22 bus down Bergenline Avenue (alright, maybe not, but just go with it).
Relive those not-that-long-ago days by taking a shot at my special tribute to the place which all attorneys general should avoid like the plague: Fairview.
1. Name the thing that stood in what is now the parking lot of the Ascension Greek Orthodox church on Anderson Avenue? (bonus: there was something else there next to that at one point; you’re a real moldy oldie if you can name that, too)
2. What was immediately across the street, next door to the American Legion where the apartments are now? (bonus: from south to north, fill in the blanks with what was there- ______________________, the American Legion, _________________________, _____________________________, _______________________________.)
3. Who ran the hardware store near Anderson Avenue and Delano Place? (first name okay)
4. Drs. Osder and Stricker were on the southwest corner of Kennedy Drive and Anderson Avenue. What was the on the northwest corner?
5. What was on the sidewalk between the stationery store and the hardware store on Anderson Avenue near Roosevelt Place?
6. What could you get if you took a walk down Delano Place and into an alley?
7. What was the name of the bakery across the street from Castro’s?
8. Name two places you could go in Fairview to get a watch fixed (30 or so years ago… I’m looking for locations, not necessarily store names).
9. What was the name of the owner of the deli on Anderson Avenue just south of Henry St?
10. St. John’s church used to do something. What was it?
Daily Double: What trade was Fairview known all over the free world for?
