There is stealing going on in America. It is the worst kind of crime imagined. No guns are involved and no knives can be seen. Yet it cuts sharper than a knife through to the very soul of our most vulnerable group in society. It’s our children. How could our children be so affected and who is stealing from them? Would you believe it is their parents? Yes, hard to believe. Every day there are children living below the poverty line and eating peanut butter and jelly for dinner because their parents are stealing the money they need to live a better life. These are the very parents who were there to create their beginning and who entered into a realm of responsibility for their care. Each year billions of dollars are robbed from these children.
How does this happen? Well, lets look at the ways our system deals with this issue. The parents of this child for what ever reason are not together. The one parent leaves, often times they leave without informing the custodial parent where they are going. The custodial parent has no choice and goes to court to get support. Meanwhile after a long search they find the non-custodial parent. They try to get it from their employer and the non-custodial parent leaves again. They run again. Meanwhile this child waits and waits. This child waits for a better meal, decent clothes, a haircut, a better home, a better life. It is truly a shame. This child didn’t do anything to deserve this from a parent who meanwhile lives well, eats well, and sleeps unfortunately all too well.
What can we do to help? The media is a very powerful tool. Help us stamp out the indifference. The current system is not working! We need your help. By printing and making known the plight of our children you will be helping to shape their tomorrow.
By creating a concerned heart in others you will be forming the passion to get things done for this extremely senseless act of financial cruelty. Please help us to help them. We are a non-profit group dedicated to the cause of changing the present system because the present system is NOT working. We are the Parent's Against Dead Beat Parents.
