Can you tell me why the Park was never bought out before it was sole to build housing? Also were any of the rides saved and sent to other parks,or a museum or was everything destroyed? How long did it take to take down the entire park? Did anybody take any pieces for their memories? Were they allowed in the Park before it was closed and torn down.It couldn't be saved? I hope somebody took some of the rides and pieces of the Park home with them, and was it torn down by a local company?
I am also interested in Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, who tore that down, and what happend to that score board, and all the bricks, and pieces of the stadium, the lockers, dugouts, and fence signs.Does anyone know the company who tore down Ebbets field and the Polo Grounds? The same company tore them both down, what happend to all those pieces and again score boards and fence signs etc.In the lobby of Ebbests Field you had lights shaped as baseball bats, what happened to them? Does anyone know the answers to my questions,as I am very curious.Palasades Park should have been taken over by the towns and kept going, you know how much money was lost?
