I have been reading the last message that was sent in. You have no clue on how the " rice bill" or reemployment bill worked do you. there was guidelines on how people were placed on the list. you had to demoted or laid off to be placed on it. if you were fired or as you called it terminated you were not put on it. once placed on the list, you still had to send out resmues to other fds. that still did not give you a job.if a fd was interested in hiring you, you went through the same process as any other person would.ie interview, background check, medical ect ect. then the fd still had the choice to hire you or not. so just being on the list did not give you anything but a chance to be hired. how we were hired was the town gave us a "demotion" to be placed on the list. we proved to the pension board years ago that we were firemen and not just emts, so the title we held were ff/emts. now was the name calling, moron and others needed, i do not think so. just for info how long have you been a ff in cp. i was there from 86-98,between vol and paid time 12 yrs. to answer your question the towns that hired us did not have lists when they hired us, they got ff's that did not have to be trained, go to fire school and have to be trained as emts. so they gained for the most part. we were welcomed into our new depts. a question to you, were you a member in the fd when all of this was happening, if not maybe you should get your facts straight before you start calling people names. i am very happy where i am. and just to let you know i NEVER HID at fires as you state. i never saw anybody hide at them. ask any of the older guys in the fd about me, they will let you know about me at fires. so let it go and get on with your life and we will do the same
