[Schools/Education] leadership

Well it appears that the good old boy network is alive and well in Cliffside Park. One of the newest members of the Board of Education is already calling it quits after serving a year on the board. Word is that this particular member was on the "up and up" and was fed up with the way the current board is being conducted. First, I have to say that I admire the man for sticking to his convictions and instead of compromising his beliefs, he would rather step down than be part of the puppet show. However, I would also make the following comment to him. "What the hell were you thinking when you ran for the Board?" This is Cliffside Park. Did you actually think that things get discussed and a decision is reached after careful consideration of the facts? Come on, could you have been that naive? Perhaps you were and now realize your mistake. I wish you many more years of service to the church where you feel more at home and I would like to at least thank you for trying to serve the citizens and students of Cliffside Park.
