Now you're talking. Rather than put the children in the position of being used as pawns and opening the kids up to ridicule and derision from their peers and possibly worse from the school administration, it might be better to just pay the dues, let the kids take the exams and let the PARENTS fight it out with the Board of Ed.
Maybe if some of the more concerned parents were to attend the B of E meetings and voice their objections there, you might get something accomplished. While a lawsuit or a court order may sound like the way to go, it sounds a bit premature right now. I doubt if a judge would sign such an order at this early stage of the game.
If its the principle rather than the money, pay the money now and fight for the principle later. After all, its about the kids...isn't it?
