[Gen. Discussion] Speed Bumps

Over the last few weeks, looks like they have installed a few “speed bumps” around town.
I first noticed them on Grove Avenue and had mixed feelings about them.
A little annoying if you're obeying the law and doing the right thing, but definitely a deterrent to speeders.
I couldn't make up my mind if I liked them or not.
Now I'm wondering how I go about getting one on my block.
I live on Columbia Avenue and quite frequently we have vehicles racing down the block at all hours.
I guess because of the light on Anderson, it's one of the through streets that get you easily from Palisade to Bergen Blvd.
On Saturday we had a pretty bad accident in the middle of the block.
A car was parking.
The car behind it, slowed down.
But the speeding car with the young woman on the cell phone (a separate issue) didn't slow down and creamed the car that had slowed.
This is the first time in my memory that we had an accident in the middle of the block, but on numerous occasions there have been accidents at the corner.
So now my question is, how do we go about getting the town to install a speed bump on our block?
