Why is Town Building Everywhere & Cutting Trees?

Why does the town admin feel that every space CP needs to be developed? It seems that the town is growing without logic or taking into consideration urban development schemes.
I think the mayor needs to be elimanated! I've heard he's been in office for over 25+ years - what kind of town allows that!?!?!?
