[Gen. Discussion] Republicans

Hey. Let's start (sort of) another discussion. Back when there were a couple of Republicans running for the town council, there was a lot of discussion about how much we needed a change and how horrible it was that we have a single-party system etc etc etc.
So. The election is over. There was no change. What happens with those Republicans now? Wouldn't it make sense if they were really serious about being elected that they and the other Republicans and the Republican Club (I guess there is one) would continue to campaign, so to speak. Make themselves visible so that the next time around we'd hear from them for more than 10 minutes. The reason that CPers keep electing Democrats is because Demoncrats keep in the public eye doing things. You might sarcastically say, Yea what are they doing!, but we see them. The Republicans are like groundhogs, they peep out of their den once a year and go back in. Come on out. Become a part of our community. Sponsor something that we can see. Show us. Maybe someone will vote for you not because you're a Republican, but simply because we see you help our community not simply talk about what you'd do if...
