Frank Biasco WAS Cliffside Park. He was a councilman in town for many years. He was the most caring, wonderful, true friend who would do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat kind of guy.
He was a truly proud grandpa who had pictures of the grandkids all over the walls. But let me say all the kids in town were his "extended family" thats how he made you feel.
He truely loved all the kids of Cliffside Park. They were all "his kids" He ran all kinds of functions, Halloween parades, shows in the schools, you name it he did it for the kids.
Summer recreation was always fun. He went on all the trips, and we always had so much fun with him on the bus just getting there.
One day our child took ill in the park and was rushed to the hospital. As soon as he heard about that, he was there with us at the hospital making sure everything would be ok. He was a comfort to us at a crisis time. Thats how he was. He was there for you. We think of him everyday and miss him terribly. He was one of a kind, when they made Frank they threw away the mould!
There is no question that the park should be named after him. Anyone who knew him can still feel his presence when your in the park. He was the BEST!
We never heard anyone republican or democrat say a bad thing about him, he was that loved.
The day he died a part of all of us went with him.We will help out whatever way we can to have that park named after him, after all that was HIS PARK.
There will never be another Frank Biasco and for decades to come, everyone should know about this ICON. Frank diffinately deserves to be written in the "Cliffside Park history book" that some speak of here, heck- you probably could write a book just about him. Rest in Peace Frank...We miss you
