Lisa,
There are quite a few people here who know the guys who were members of the fire department years ago. I know for a fact that some of the regulars here are or were members of the fire department, both on the paid and volunteer sides. Others are people they grew up with. They were people with very strong and interesting personalities. Many are or were legendary guys. I've said it many times, if you put the old-timers on this group into a room together, we'd probably be saying, "Oh! It's YOU!" (and then we'd probably get into a fistfight from something that happened 35 years ago).
I'm trying to think real hard about who had a daughter, and I can think of a lot, but I just don't remember any of the kids' names and I don't want to guess.
I can't blame you for not wanting to put your maiden name out there, but it would be really helpful. You'd probably get a lot of stories about your dad... some might even be true
