Although I favor validation of residency, I don't think it will eliminate the people who have a proclivity for gang violence. We need to identify what attracts gang members to Cliffside Park and work to eliminate it.
If this is indeed an organized gang, and it apparently is because a known gang name was identified, the gang has to have an underlying business theme. A gang is not a bunch of kids like Spanky and Alfalfa. If we look at gang members in that manner, well, duh, they are harmless kids who get into good natured mischief building wooden cars that have articulating boxing gloves clocking people in the head as they drive up the Avenue. Yeah. Sure. A gang is a functional, intelligent organism, like an ant hill or bee hive, except the gang's nectar is usually some nefarious activity. I look at the expansion of territory in a similar manner as corporate diversification. There is something attractive in Cliffside Park that had made it virgin territory and easy pickings for expansion.
What is it, exactly? What brings them here? Why is Cliffside Park so attractive to this element?
Find that and shut it down. They will be gone. Problem solved.
Not empowered? Bull____. See 18 USC 1961.
